Once again this coming Friday, October 6 at 1 o’clock, AirFair is pleased to provide a forum for the residents to question our city leaders about solutions to the airplane noise and air pollution caused by departing planes from JWA.
When AirFair first planned these meetings this summer, we planned to invite Mayor Kevin Muldoon and Council Herdman to meet with our Board at lunch to discuss airport issues. However, because of increasing plane noise, a petition by another group, FAA’s NextGen, and an increasingly disgruntled populace, we changed the meetings to 1 o’clock and found a bigger room.
Friday’s meeting will be on the terrace (more room and cooler) at the Newport Beach Tennis Club. Just come up the front walk, and AirFair will show you the terrace. The meeting will be from 1 - 2 p.m. with the last 30 minutes for Q & A. We will also ask the officials to stay after 2 p.m. for informal questions.
Mayor Muldoon has invited three other officials from the city, Dave Kiff, Aaron Harp, and Tom Edwards to answer questions and engage in discussion.
We will limit our discussion to airport issues so bring your questions, concerns, and knowledge to the meeting.
Thank you, AirFair
